This policy explains what personal data BOI Connect collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We take it seriously because our whole service depends on handling your information carefully.
Who we are
BOI Connect (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website at boiconnect.com. We connect foreign business owners with a vetted firm that sets up and manages BOI (Thailand Board of Investment) companies. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What data we collect
When you fill in one of our enquiry forms, we collect the details you give us:
- Your name, email address, and phone number (phone is optional).
- Information about your business: the service you need, your planned activity, capital, staffing, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Your consent to be contacted, recorded when you submit the form.
We also collect basic technical data automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and how you use the site, through cookies and analytics. This helps us keep the site secure and understand what visitors find useful.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
We collect your data under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), mainly on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form. We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and give you a free, honest assessment of whether BOI suits your business.
- Connect you with the vetted partner firm that can handle your setup and compliance.
- Keep the site secure, measure how it performs, and improve it.
Who we share your data with
Matching you with a partner firm is the point of BOI Connect, so when you ask to be connected, we share the details you provided with the vetted firm best suited to your needs. They contact you directly and their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.
We also share limited data with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting, email, and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else without your consent unless the law requires it.
Where your data goes
Some of our providers process data outside Thailand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected to a standard consistent with the PDPA.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only as long as we need it to help you and to keep a record of your consent. If your enquiry does not go anywhere, we delete it once it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask us to:
- See the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, or restrict and object to how we use it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, which stops any further use.
To do any of this, email us at [email protected]. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can also complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to make the site work and to measure how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work less well.
How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Children
This site is meant for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service or the law changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of the page.
